Bellamah
Based on information from the Southern New Mexico Multiple Listing Service as of November 3, 2026.
The Bellamah area takes its name from Dale Bellamah, the builder who put up many of the homes here in the early 1950s, part of the wave of postwar building that shaped Las Cruces. Subdivisions such as Dale Bellamah Manor and its additions are still known by his name.
Homes here are compact and consistent: most are single-story, three bedrooms and around 1,300 square feet, on lots of about an eighth to a sixth of an acre. Most were built between 1951 and the late 1950s, with a few townhomes from later years.
This is one of the most affordable neighborhoods on this site. Most homes are offered between about $180,000 and $240,000.
Homeowner associations are rare. With homes of seventy years or more, condition depends on how each one has been kept and updated: roofs, wiring, plumbing and cooling systems are worth checking.
The location is central, with New Mexico State University, downtown and Interstate 10 a short drive away.
